A Match Made in Heaven <3

So! As I previously mentioned Matched in my latest blog post; I just finished reading it and I could not be more pleased. My friend had recommended it to me and let me borrow it and I was a bit skeptical at first; but I will not doubt her taste again! The book was fantastic and I noticed a lot of little things that correspond with other little things. For example, after reading it, I was able to figure out that certain references in the book correspond with the color of the cover. It was beautiful, it has loveable characters, it's well-written, great story line, and the fictional world is very well set up. I wasn't able to find any plotholes, mess-ups, or anything like that. All in all it seems like a really well thought out book that had a lot of love and time put into it :) I recommend it for any of you readers out there ;3

Happy New Year!!!

Well; it's been a few months....I'm not sure anyone even follows my website??? But; whatever. Haha, so; just an update; I've been watching a lot of good TV shows lately. For example: Once Upon a Time & Doctor Who. I just love them both *O* I've also been really interested in Minecraft lately; it's very fascinating ;) I've been listening to a lot of Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, One Direction (Midnight Memories is amazinggg!!!), and a few Snow Patrol. I've also been DIYing a lot! Um, yeah. I've actually become more of a pack wolf, now. Although since I always was a lone wolf, it's going to take some getting used to. I've been reading Warriors, Wolves of the Beyond, I should be starting Harry Potter soon; I'm also thinking of reading the Matched series (i think it's called...)? Not sure, though. BESIDES MY POINTLESS UPDATES; I'm going camping again soon :D I can't wait! My biggest update is....Okay; so I really love music! It's like my life and I think it'd be totally amazing to make my own, so I've been writing songs and learning Music Theory, Violin, Celtic Tin Whistle, and Piano (well; sort of. I already know how to play but I'm trying to be more professional about it ^~^"). The camping trip, I'm hoping, will get my creative juices flowing enough to write an album or EP; which will then proceed to YouTube and Bandcamp. But I'm not gonna go it alone; I want to have my friends help me out and sing with me on some songs :3 So, yeah, I'm excited and YOU should be too ;) That's all, pack buddies! Love you, if you are reading; I dono...You might be ;3

Close Call

So, as some of you may know, in my area Airgun squirrel hunting season started a few days ago. So, taking advantage of such a marvelous privilege, I went in my backyard with my gun to see if I could take anything. With my gun loaded, I sat and waited patiently for some prey; my wolf side growing stronger. While I was waited, a squirrel came down a tree at his usual feeding time, 15 til 6 o'clock. I distracted him by "comunicating" with him, using my hand (squirrels communicate using a series of tail flicking). I pressed the safety off and aimed. I took a deep, adrenaline filled, breath; and pulled the trigger. The squirrel scampered back up the tree. Fortunately, I didn't miss; my gun didn't fire. I suppose that the sound scared the squirrel. :| After that I target practiced a bit, I'll get him tomorrow :)

A Wolf Prayer

Hey again, everyone! I've been really neglecting this website, as you can tell I've made some updates to the aesthetics of the site :) The purpose remains the same. If I would call it...a purpose, per sey. So, squirrel hunting season is coming around! October 12th, in my area. I can't wait! I found something interesting I thought I might share; it's called a wolf prayer. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's native American. It goes like this:

"Spirit of the Wolf, you who wanders the wild lands, you who stalks in silent shadows, you who runs and leaps between the moss covered trees, lend me your primal strength, and the wisdom of your glowing eyes. Teach me to relentlessly track my desires. And to stand in defense of those I love. Show me the hidden paths and the moonlit fields. Fierce spirit, walk with me in my solitude, howl with me in my joy & guard me as I move through this world."

Although I personally, being a Christian, would never pray this prayer, I do find it very interesting. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this prayer and what you think of it. You can buy a poster with this prayer on it here: http://www.amazon.com/New-Age-Wolf-Prayer-Poster/dp/B006L37N4G Thanks for reading :)

A Bad Blogger T.T

Haii, Guys....I haven't made a post in a while....so sorry T.T I'm a bad blogger. Anyways, yesterday my gun arrived :D I'm uber excited! I'll be practicing soon, my father has to help me set it up first though. It's actually a bit more intimidating then I wagered it might be. But I'll get used to it! It is a Crosman 2100 B Air Rifle. It has 755 fps and fires .177 pellets/bbs. During the process of it getting here I also purchased a pack of Gamo Targets, Gamo assorted .177 caliber pellets , and Pellgunoil by Crosman. I plan on hunting squirrels (when season comes), European starlings, and possibly rabbits? Rabbits aren't really prominent in my area :/ but yeah, squirrel season starts October 13th I'll have plenty of time for target practice before then ;) so, yeah. I went camping in mid-February. It was LOADS of awesome, the best part was tubing through the spring. Whilst tubing (I shared a tube with my best friend) we saw a doe (a female deer ;)) and an osprey swoop down and catch a fish 5' in front of us! Cool huh? It was a pretty, well, mainstream campsite. The other campers were ten feet away, and honey, let me tell you; they must have hated us (we hated them so it doesn't really matter much. stupid rv campers -.-)!!! I went camping with my best friends family, as previously mentioned, and we were so fluffin' loud! Anyways, back to the mainstream part. Not only were we in closer-than-comfortable proximity with them. But while I was "sleeping" in my tent I could hear the rushing of cars (as apposed to the prefered rushing of water)!!! We're going again soon; but to a more middle-of-nowhere scenario campsite (CREEKSIDE BABAY!). Anywho, it was reeeaally cold weather for inexperienced campers like ourselves. I'm talking thirty-degrees-night-don't-fit-in-sleeping-bag cold! Which stinks, because I didn't properly fit in my sleeping bag and, it is, well; a warm weather sleeping bag :| self explanatory situation, of course. It was a great experience though. I mostly went because I wanted to live the life of the wild, free, majestic wolf. OH! I almost forgot; I was scared out of my mind at night! Because of the wind blowing through the fast amount of trees it made an impending doom type roaring sound! The roaring gathered with the cars, and the barred owls :o yikes! Don't get me wrong, i love hearing owls at night but...I'm quite easily scared; I'm just good at hiding it *phew*. Have a great day guys!

My Favorite Music

Music:

#1: Echo-Jason Walker

#2: Dead Hearts-Stars

#3: Rubik's Cube-Athlete

I love Indie music, or no... I don't really think of it as a genre itself as much as just different types of music that touch my heart or bring my mind to peace or... Yeah. As a music lover, I stick to the underdogs of the music industry. I HATE mainstream music because it seems every song is meaningless. It's all the same Drugs, Love, Break-ups, Clubs, and Dancing. The people behind the music are even worse! It's all about fame and money to them; not the love of music. I don't have favorite artists, really. I like Celtic Woman a lot :)

Being a natural one, in an artificial world </3

So, this is apparently a blog. I'm probably very bad at this, but oh well! So, my name is Codi. I love wolves, and I love being a Spirit Wolf. I hate cities, but everywhere I look I see buildings, street lights, sidewalks, people, cars, roads, and bikes. Everybody moves so fast, they don't ever stop to smell the roses. It seems as though if I was hurt or injured on the sidewalk no one would come to my aid. I don't think that there are truly any good samaratins left in this world! Everywhere I smell gas, smoke, garbage, and perfume. I wish I could be smelling fresh air, seeing vast landscapes of green; not grey. Hearing bird songs, rustling leaves, and the wind whistling. But all I hear are cars and white noise. It seems as though everything natural and beautiful has been demolished to be replaced by ugly and artificial technology. The days when inventing was for efficiency, purpose, and help not entertainment and ease of life. What happened to hard work? I bet you didn't know that most corn isn't even real; they're GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). The days when everything wasn't about money. The days when it wasn't about choice, it was about doing what's right. The days when milk was straight from cows to jugs. The golden days when meat wasn't full of preservatives. Face it, to everyone else; money makes the world go 'round. Not good deeds, helping hands, and lending neighbors. Nope, that ship has sailed. The world is dark and grey, run by a fallen angel named Lucifer. The world is broken; but not beyond saving. Jesus will come and take His children home. I don't have to worry because I may live in a house; but it's not my home. My home is beside my Heavenly Father in Heaven, spending eternity in laughter, happiness, joy, and purity. There won't be any tears to shed. Any worries to worry about. Everything will be perfect. I pray for those going the other way, burning forever and ever. Hell is a place, it's not a myth. Hell will be your home if you stay the way you are. Repent and ask his forgivness and walk the walk of Christ. Believe in Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Believe that he gave his life to save you and rose again the third day. Believe in Heavenly Miracles; not in coincedence. You'll live a much better life, it's His guarantee. :)
